Synthetic AI Voiceover

What is Synthetic AI Voiceover?

Synthetic voice audio refers to the process of generating lifelike (human-like) voice recordings using artificial intelligence. By analyzing and synthesizing vast amounts of audio data, AI models replicate human speech with astonishing realism, producing voice clones that are nearly indistinguishable from the original voice.

Add Synthetic AI Voiceover to Supademo

With Supademo, anyone can add realistic, synthetic AI voiceovers to their interactive demo in under 10 seconds. Supademo leverages leading AI models like OpenAI and ElevenLabs to create realistic, life-like voices that span multiple tones, accents, and languages.

Steps to add voiceover

  1. Click Enhance with AI
  2. Choose AI Voiceover
  3. Select your voice - this is automatically detected based on the language used in your Supademo
  4. Click Add voiceover to apply the voiceover to every screenshot in your Supademo

AI voiceover will not autoplay on the  slide if the Supademo does not have an initial Chapter as the first step . This is an intentional feature to prevent a jarring experience where the voiceover plays without user action when embedded or  clicked. We recommend adding a chapter as the first step to automatically play the voiceover for a recorded slide.

Using Different Voice Dictation Languages

You can have your voiceover narrate each slide in a language that is different from your existing text annotations. To do so, simply hover over the Play Button of a slide after personalizing with AI.

Next, click the edit button and replace the corresponding text with your desired output language. The available voice options will automatically update based on the detected language.

Adding Voiceover to Video Slide

Since video slides do not have text-based context, a default voiceover is applied to all video steps. The voiceover will narrate: "Now continue to the next steps". You can remove this or modify this for every video step.

Add or Customize Voiceover for Specific Step

You can add a voiceover for specific slides only by clicking Add Voiceover or Edit Voiceover on a specific slide.

You can also have your voiceover narrate text that is different from your existing text annotations. To do so, simply click the Edit Button below the Play Button of a slide after personalizing with AI. Next, replace the corresponding text with your desired output. This allows you to keep text annotations short, while adding additional context via voiceover, or narrate in a language that is different from the text.

Voiceover Languages

Once your input text language is detected, the AI voiceover will narrate any inputted language accordingly. To customize the voiceover language, simply enter the language of your choice within the voiceover text box.

FAQs

Is it possible to add my own voiceover?

Currently, there is no way to add your own voiceover to slides.

Why doesn't the voiceover automatically play on the first slide?

Supademo doesn't automatically play the voiceover on the  slide if there isn't an initial Chapter as the first step. If the voice was automatically played, it would create a subpar viewing experience for Supademo embeds or for unsuspecting viewers that haven't taken user action or interacted with the demo yet.

As such, we recommend adding a chapter as the first step to automatically play the voiceover for a recorded slide.

The pitch and tone of my voiceover is different across slides. Is there a way to fix this?

Our model can sometimes change tone based on how the text is written for the voiceover text. For instance, narration can differ greatly based on the use of periods, exclamation marks, or spacing between words. We recommend playing around with the voiceover text to see if this resolves any inconsistencies between slides.

Is there a way to remove the AI voiceover that says "now, continue through the next step" on video steps?

When you apply a voiceover to all slides, Supademo automatically adds in example voiceover text for video slides. To remove this, simply navigate to the video slide, click the edit button on the top right, and click "Delete voiceover".

How do I add or edit a voiceover for a specific slide?

You can add or edit a voiceover for a single slide by:

  1. Opening the slide with the voiceover in edit view;
  2. Clicking "Add voiceover" or "Edit voiceover"
  3. Add in your voiceover text and click "Save"

This way, you can have the narrated text be different from the text hotspots.

How do I add a voiceover to all slides at once?

You can add a voiceover for all slides by:

  1. Opening your Supademo in edit view;
  2. Clicking "Enhance with AI" -> "AI Voiceover"
  3. Choose your preferred voiceover and click "Save"

How do I change the language for the voiceover?

You can change the language of the voiceover by:

  1. Opening the slide with the voiceover in edit view;
  2. Clicking the edit / pencil button on the top right of the demo;
  3. And add in text in a different language (i.e. Korean, French)

After this step, your voiceover will automatically narrate steps in the written language.
