# Sales Leave-Behind

How to build a sales leave-behind in Supademo: an interactive demo prospects replay and forward internally, with tracking that tells you when to follow up.

A sales leave-behind is an interactive demo you send after a call so the buying committee can replay exactly what they saw and forward it to stakeholders who were not in the room. It replaces the PDF one-pager and the 40-minute call recording with something a champion can actually circulate: a two-minute clickable walkthrough of the workflows that matter to their team, with your call to action attached to every step.

## How to build it in Supademo

1. Duplicate your master demo and cut it to the one or two workflows this buyer cared about on the call. Under 15 steps is the target; a leave-behind is a highlight reel, not the full demo.
2. Structure it with [chapters](/customize/chapters.md) so a forwarded viewer gets context before the first click, and add an AI voiceover to narrate why each step matters.
3. Personalize with [variables](/customize/personalize/variables-and-tokens.md): `{{name}}` and `{{company}}` in the title and key steps make every stakeholder's copy feel built for them.
4. End with a single CTA chapter matched to deal stage: book the technical review, start procurement, or open the POC sandbox.
5. If several teams are evaluating, bundle role-specific demos into a [Showcase](https://docs.supademo.com/share/multi-demo-sharing/showcase-collection) so your champion shares one link and each stakeholder picks their path. Showcases also carry PDFs, videos, and links, so pricing and security docs travel with the demo.
6. Send it as a trackable link and turn on engaged-viewer notifications via email or Slack.

**Example:** See how Fin by Intercom works as a leave-behind — a polished, self-guided walkthrough a champion can forward to the rest of the buying committee after the call. For a multi-demo leave-behind, this Canva showcase bundles several demos behind one link.

## Recommended setup

| Decision | Recommendation |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Demo type | Guided screenshot or video demo; attach your POC sandbox inside a Showcase for technical buyers |
| Sharing method | Trackable link per stakeholder; Showcase link for multi-stakeholder deals |
| Analytics to watch | Views and re-views per session, completion rate, which Showcase items each company opened |

Do not gate a leave-behind. You already know who the buyer is; a form only stops the forwarding you want. Trackable links give you engagement data without friction.

## Frequently asked questions

### What should I send a prospect after a demo call?

Send a short interactive demo of the two workflows they reacted to, not a slide deck or the full call recording. An interactive leave-behind lets the champion re-experience the product in minutes and forward it internally, and its analytics tell you which stakeholders engaged before your next call.

### How do I know if a prospect opened my leave-behind?

Send it as a Supademo trackable link. Analytics show every session with viewing time, completion, per-step drop-off, and company data, and engaged-viewer notifications ping you by email or Slack the moment someone watches, so follow-up lands while the demo is still fresh.

### How is an interactive leave-behind different from sending a video?

A video plays; a Supademo is clicked. Viewers move at their own pace, skip via chapters to what matters for their role, and act on the CTA mid-demo instead of after it. You also see per-step engagement rather than a single view count, which tells you what each stakeholder actually cared about.
