Serve your demos, showcases, videos, and routes from your own domain. Learn how to connect a custom domain, verify DNS, and set up an optional root URL redirect.

Set Up a Custom Domain for Your Supademos

Use your own domain across public content pages — demos, showcases, videos, and routes. This guide covers connecting your custom domain, verifying DNS, and configuring an optional root URL redirect.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A domain you own

  • Access to your DNS provider (e.g. Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap)

1. Open the Custom Domain settings

  1. From the sidebar in Supademo, click on the ⚙ icon > Workspace Settings.

  2. Click on the Custom Domain tab.

2. Add your domain

  1. Under Domain, enter the subdomain you want to use (e.g. demo.yourdomain.com).

  2. Click Update.

3. Add the CNAME record in your DNS provider

  1. Under DNS Record, copy the Name value using the copy icon.

  2. Copy the Value as well (this is the target your CNAME will point to).

  3. Head to your DNS provider (Cloudflare used as the example here) and click DNS.

  4. Click Add record.

  5. Configure the record:

    • For Type, choose CNAME.

    • For Name, paste the Name value you copied from Supademo.

    • For Target (or Value), paste the Value you copied from Supademo.

  6. Click Save to add the record.

4. Verify DNS in Supademo

  1. Back in Supademo, click Verify DNS at the top of the Custom Domain page.

DNS propagation can take a few minutes to a few hours depending on your provider. Once verified, the warning banner will clear and the Root Redirect section will become available.

5. (Optional) Set up a root URL redirect

The root redirect handles cases where visitors type in your custom domain (e.g. demo.yourdomain.com) without a subdirectory (e.g. /demo/id). Without a redirect set, those visitors will hit a dead page.

  1. Under Root Redirect, enter the URL you want visitors redirected to. We recommend your homepage or your default Showcase URL.

  2. Click Add.

Any visitors landing on the root of your custom domain will now be redirected to the URL you entered.

Preview

Once everything is set up, the Preview section at the bottom of the page shows what your custom public URL will look like (e.g. https://demo.yourdomain.com/demo/product-tour).

Benefits

  • Brand consistency — Every demo, showcase, video, and route lives on your own domain, keeping your brand front and center.

  • Increased trust — Visitors see your domain instead of a third-party URL, reinforcing credibility and legitimacy.

  • Professional appearance — Clean, branded links look polished and intentional across emails, embeds, and shared content.

  • Seamless experience — Content feels like a native part of your website rather than an external tool.

  • Better shareability — Recognizable, on-brand URLs are easier to remember, share, and click.

Use Cases

Marketing and Website Embeds

Serve demos and showcases from your own domain so embedded content feels fully native to your site. Visitors stay within your brand experience, with no jarring third-party URLs to break the flow.

Sales Outreach and Leave-Behinds

Share branded links with prospects that reinforce trust at every touchpoint. A custom domain makes follow-up demos and leave-behinds look polished and credible when forwarded internally.

Customer Onboarding

Deliver onboarding demos and walkthroughs from a domain your customers already recognize. The familiar URL adds confidence and keeps the learning experience consistent with the rest of your product.

Partner and Reseller Content

Distribute demos and showcases under your own domain when working with partners or resellers. Branded links keep ownership clear and maintain a professional, unified presence wherever your content is shared.

Custom Domains are available on Scale, Growth, and Enterprise plans. They are not available on Pro plans.

Customers using a trial must upgrade to a paid plan before the trial ends to keep their custom domain. Otherwise, the custom domain will be removed when the trial expires.

The Result: Full control over your workspace subscription — upgrade, manage, and access invoices with ease.
