# General

To access General settings, click on the **⚙ icon** from your Supademo workspace then select **Workspace Settings**.

## Workspace Name

### Name

This is the name shown across the workspace.

{% hint style="info" %}
A clear, recognizable workspace name is especially important on Enterprise plans where users toggle between multiple workspaces. Use a name that signals what the workspace is for (e.g. "Acme Sales", "Acme Marketing", "Acme Internal") rather than something generic.
{% endhint %}

## Workspace Membership

### Auto-join Team

**Recommendation: Off**

{% hint style="info" %}
Auto-join team is only available on Pro, Scale, and Growth workspaces.
{% endhint %}

Allow anyone with an email address matching your company domain to automatically join your workspace as a Creator.

Creators are paid seats, so enabling this setting may increase your subscription cost as new members join. Leave it disabled if you want workspace admins to approve each request by email and control who receives access.

Enable Auto-join team if you want teammates to join and start creating without waiting for approval.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Auto-join team is off by default. Turning it on allows eligible teammates to join as paid Creators, so additional charges will apply as your team grows.
{% endhint %}

## Default SEO Settings

These settings control what appears on the share page when a demo is shared as a link. They apply to demos viewed in the standard card/frame layout — not Full Width Share Pages, which display HTML demo content in full screen to emulate the real product's experience.

### Description and Steps

**Recommendation: On**

When enabled, the share page displays the demo description (from your SEO settings) and an interactive list of steps below the demo frame. The steps are pulled from the hotspot text on each step, but you can rewrite them manually if you want the share page text to differ from the in-demo copy.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Best practice:** Keep this on. It lets viewers scan the demo content quickly, pull text out, or jump to a specific step — especially useful when sharing demos as documentation or reference material.
{% endhint %}

### Author

**Recommendation: Off**

When enabled, the demo author's name is shown below the demo frame on the share page.

{% hint style="info" %}
**When to turn this on:** This is off by default because, in most cases, the author is irrelevant page real estate. Turn it on when the author's identity adds value — for example, personalized sales demos where an AE wants the prospect to associate the demo with a specific person, or internal training demos where viewers may need to follow up with the creator.
{% endhint %}

### Search Engine Indexing

**Recommendation: On**

Allows search engines like Google to index your demo share pages and surface them in search results.

{% hint style="info" %}
**When to keep this on:** If your demos live on a public-facing page (your website, a help center, a marketing landing page) and you want them discoverable in search, keep this on.

\
**When to turn this off:** If your demos contain sensitive content, are intended for a specific audience only, or you don't want them appearing in search results, turn this off.
{% endhint %}

## Workspace Emails

These settings control which email notifications get sent to creators and admins in the workspace.

### Trackable links

**Recommendation: Off**

Sends email notifications every time someone views a demo through one of your trackable or personalized links.

{% hint style="info" %}
This can quickly become overwhelming, especially in a workspace with high viewer volume or many active trackable links. We recommend leaving this off and reviewing trackable link activity directly in your Supademo analytics instead.
{% endhint %}

### Monthly recap emails

**Recommendation: On**

Sends a once-monthly summary email with stats from your workspace.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why keep this on:** It's a low-noise way to stay on top of how your workspace is performing without having to check the dashboard manually. One email a month, full digest.
{% endhint %}

### Comments

**Recommendation: On**

Sends a real-time email notification when someone leaves a comment on your demos.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why keep this on:** If you have comments enabled on any demo, you want to know when feedback comes in. Real-time notifications make sure you don't miss anything that needs a reply.
{% endhint %}

#### Mentions

**Recommendation: On**

Sends a real-time email notification when someone @-mentions you in a comment.

{% hint style="info" %}
Mentions are usually intentional and need your attention. Keeping this on ensures you see them as they happen rather than the next time you log in.
{% endhint %}
