# Seismic

Supademo's Seismic integration lets you publish your interactive demos, showcases, and videos directly into your Seismic Library, so your sales and enablement teams can find, share, and track Supademo content right alongside the rest of their sales collateral.

Once connected, Supademo can automatically keep your Seismic Library in sync: newly published content appears in Seismic, renamed content is updated, and unpublished or archived content is removed.

### How the integration works

Supademo publishes each demo, showcase, or video into Seismic as a **URL content item:** a Seismic Library entry that opens your live, interactive Supademo. Nothing is exported as a static file, so viewers always see the latest published version, and all views are tracked in your Supademo analytics as usual.

When content is published to Seismic:

* It's placed in a **Supademo folder** that we create automatically at the root of your Seismic Library (inside your default TeamSite).
* Your **Supademo folder structure is mirrored** in Seismic — a demo in `Product Tours/Onboarding` in Supademo lands in `Supademo/Product Tours/Onboarding` in Seismic. (Videos aren't foldered.)
* The item uses your content's **title**, its public **share link** (including your custom domain, if configured), and a short description noting it came from Supademo.

### Connecting Seismic

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations** and select the **Seismic** card.
2. Enter your **Seismic tenant URL** (e.g. `company.seismic.com`). This is used to open the correct Seismic sign-in page.
3. Click **Connect Seismic**. You'll be redirected to Seismic to sign in and approve access.
4. After approving, you'll be returned to Supademo with the integration connected. A **Supademo** folder is created automatically in your Seismic Library.

> **Note:** Connecting requires a Seismic account with permission to view and manage Library content. If your Seismic admin restricts third-party apps, they may need to approve Supademo first.

#### Configuring auto-sync

After connecting, the Seismic dialog shows sync settings:

* **Auto-sync published content** — when enabled (the default), Supademo automatically publishes matching content to your Seismic Library whenever it's published in Supademo.
* **Content type** — choose what auto-syncs: **All content**, **Demos**, **Showcases**, or **Videos**.
* **Supademo folder** — for demos and showcases, limit auto-sync to a specific Supademo folder (and its subfolders), or choose **All folders**. Videos do not use Supademo folders.

Use the **Test** button to verify the connection, and **Save** to apply your settings.

### What syncs, and when

The integration keeps Seismic in sync with your published Supademo content:

| You do this in Supademo | This happens in Seismic |
| -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Publish a demo, showcase, or video | A URL content item is created (if auto-sync matches your settings) |
| Rename or edit metadata of published content | The Seismic item's name and link are updated |
| Move content to another folder | The item moves to the mirrored folder in Seismic |
| Unpublish content, or set it to private | The Seismic item is removed |
| Archive or delete content | The Seismic item is removed |
| Duplicate or clone published content | The copy is published to Seismic once it's published in Supademo |

Only **published, publicly viewable** content is synced. Unpublished drafts and private content never appear in Seismic.

If a removal ever fails (for example, because the connection expired), Supademo blocks the action and asks you to reconnect, so you never end up with orphaned live content in Seismic that Supademo can no longer manage.

### Publishing content manually

You don't need auto-sync to use the integration. There are two ways to publish content by hand:

#### From the Supademo Library for Seismic

The **Supademo Library for Seismic** (`/seismic/library`) is a dedicated page for browsing your workspace content and managing what's in Seismic. It shows:

* A **Content** tab with all your eligible demos, showcases, and videos, with search and filters for content type and publish status.
* A **Published** tab showing everything currently in your Seismic Library.

From either tab you can:

* **Publish** content to Seismic with one click.
* **Sync in Seismic** to push the latest title and link for already-published content.
* **Open in Seismic** to jump straight to the item in Seismic's content manager.
* **Copy link** to grab the public share URL.

#### From the editor

When Seismic is connected, you can publish the demo or showcase you're working on to Seismic directly from the editor's share options.

### Requirements

* **Plan:** available on the **Scale plan and above**.
* **Roles:** you need content-creation permissions to connect and publish. Admins can publish any workspace content; other creators can publish content they authored or content that's shared with the workspace.
* **Seismic:** a Seismic account with Library view/manage permissions on the target TeamSite.

### Disconnecting

You can disconnect Seismic at any time from **Settings → Integrations**.

Disconnecting removes Supademo's connection and its record of what was published — but it does **not** delete the URL content items already in your Seismic Library. Those remain available to your Seismic users. If you want them removed, unpublish or archive the content in Supademo *before* disconnecting (which deletes the Seismic items), or delete them manually in Seismic afterward.

If you reconnect later, your previous destination and auto-sync settings are preserved, but re-publishing content creates new Library items rather than reclaiming the old ones.

### Limitations & FAQ

**Does Supademo upload files into Seismic?** No. Content is published as URL content pointing to your live Supademo. This keeps content always up to date and preserves interactivity and analytics — but it means viewers need internet access, and Seismic's document-specific features (like LiveDocs) don't apply.

**Where do views get tracked?** In Supademo. Opening the item in Seismic loads your public Supademo link, so engagement appears in your Supademo analytics like any other share-link view.

**Can I choose which Seismic TeamSite or folder content lands in?** Content lands in your default TeamSite, inside the auto-created **Supademo** folder, mirroring your Supademo folder structure. Reach out to support if you need a custom destination.

**What happens if my Seismic session expires?** Supademo refreshes access automatically in the background. If the connection fully expires, you'll be prompted to reconnect; use the **Test** button in the Seismic settings dialog to check connection health at any time.
