Lesson 2: Edit

While the Supademo Editor is simple and intuitive for most folks to use without guidance, it also hosts a series of powerful features that we think you’ll love.

This guided showcase will walk through:

👉 3 tips and tricks from the Founder

1️⃣ Use chapters to reduce friction and set expectations

Chapters are a great place to set expectations for viewers - like showing the number of expected steps (5 clicks) or time (2 mins) for the interactive demo. This implicitly lowers friction and increases engagement 🙏🏼

2️⃣ Customize hotspot designs and use variations

Hotspots are not meant to be full of jargon or text - leave additional context for voiceovers! In addition, try to use your brand colors here and use variations in hotspots (callouts, pointers, area) to keep things interesting and engaging for viewers. PS - you can also add multiple hotspots to one page!

3️⃣ Align demo length based on context or stage

We recommend creating templates or Supademos tailored to different use cases and stages of the sales, marketing, or onboarding funnel.

  • Website tours should be short and simple — ideally under 10 steps, offering a high-level product overview.

  • Post-signup onboarding demos can go deeper, with up to 20 steps to guide new users through key workflows.

For longer demos, consider turning off the step count on your hotspots. This helps reduce friction and prevents viewers from worrying about how much content they’ll need to get through.
