Recording a Screenshot/Video Demo
Sign up for a Supademo account and install the Chrome Extension.
Turn on the extension and click through your product or workflow.
Every click, scroll, and keystroke is automatically captured and stitched into a step-by-step demo.
When finished, stop the recording — your demo will be ready instantly.
Considerations:
It will capture in-app popups.
For right-click actions or dialogs, use the Desktop App or upload screenshots and add hotspots manually.
Recording an HTML demo via Chrome extension
To capture an HTML interactive demo, click the “Record HTML Supademo” button. Please note this feature is supported on Growth plans and up.
Hover over an HTML element to select where your hotspot will be positioned/anchored next to. Click it to finalize the position.
The extension will highlight elements as you hover over HTML elements, indicating where your hotspot text captions will be anchored next to. This initial position can easily be changed in the Supademo editor.
Proceed to click through your product or workflow as you would for a regular Supademo.
Please give 1-2 seconds between each click to ensure each slide capture successfully uploads onto Supademo, especially on low internet connections.
When you’re done recording, open the extension and click “Stop Recording” to open a fully editable sandbox clone of the product you recorded.
Please note that HTML capture may fail on intensive webpages with lots of image assets or videos.

Keyboard shortcuts for Chrome extension
The Supademo extension supports keyboard shortcuts to expedite the recording process for both interactive demos and screenshots. From any Chrome browser, use the following keyboard commands below to toggle the extension:
Extension settings and options
Share with Workspace: option to automatically add recorded demos to the shared workspace, or keep within the personal tab.
Enable Video Recording: capture user-driven actions like typing, scrolling, and dragging within the recording. Turning this off will create screenshot-based demos only.
Apply Auto Zoom: automatically apply visual zooming and panning effects to new Supademo recordings for a visually appealing, immersive experience for your viewers.
Recording Dimensions: control your recording dimensions before recording to ensure a consistent experience.
